Using Distress Crayons in So many ways...

Posted May 22 2016

After having a short break from scrapping due to moving into a new house, Kylie sent me out some Distress Crayons to work on my layouts. My initial thought was "What am I suppose to do with these"?

So I googled to have a look...and it opened my eyes but also my brain was in overload! So many ideas I wanted to do on my page. I decided to combine some techniques on one page.

First of all, here is my layout:

My first step was to use the crayons on my kraft pattern paper for my background.I decided to colour in circles with the Green Crayon and shade around with Orange. I then used water and smudged around the green with the orange shade.

I have also used a jar to trace around with the crayons while adding a bit of black also to my layout.

I have then hand drawn some circle on pattern paper and coloured with crayons followed by water over the top. Cut them out and added to my page.

Next I thought I can add a 3D look to my page by using a template with texture paste.

Then I coloured the white texture paste bits with the green and orange distress crayons.

My last step I coloured the chipboard with the crayons and attached to my layout.

Hope you enjoyed all my little snippets of all the techniques you can do with distress crayons.
