Watercolour Mixed Media painting with Elisa Ablett

Posted July 20 2016
Hi everyone,
My turn up on the blog today with a very vibrant watercolour mixed media painting using the new Colour Blast Shimmer Dusts.
Here is the final result, ready for framing and onto my wall in my craft room (ahem...sorry my husband's man cave which i am slowly taking over). Im not really sure what to 'name or title it' as yet, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Here is a photo to show you how it all started...
I started with a 12 x 12 sheet of the awesome Strathmore Watercolour Paper and then i drew squares and rectangles in a block pattern. Once i had finished that i then stamped with some Grungy poppy stamps over the top of the block pattern and used a black marker to draw around the outside of each flower.
Then i used a small amount of each of the water reactive Colour Blast Shimmer Dusts with a small amount of water and using a paintbrush added my colour...
At the end i decided to add some Colour Blast Dusty Charcoal Texture Paste with a Scrap FX stencil and some stamping with a Kaisercraft script texture stamp.
Now onto some of the great products that were used to complete this painting which are all available at Shop and Crop right now....
